Jetset
Make travel and connecting with others easier

TL;DR
The "Jetset" project aimed to enhance travel experiences by leveraging data to facilitate connections between travelers, such as suggesting meetups with former colleagues, and was presented internally to explore partnerships for simplifying travel. However, it was discovered that using internal location and travel data for such purposes would be problematic in regions like Europe due to privacy concerns.

Introduction
The goal of our project was to find ways to leverage data and connections to improve the travel experience. For example, we wanted to be able to notify a traveler when they were in the same building as a former colleague and suggest they meet up. The ability to facilitate these kinds of connections was a key objective for our team.
Process
A product manager (PM) who sat in our area and worked with us put together the overall flow/concept and led a brainstorming session. I created keyframes, and then we collaborated on refining the script and defining the visual assets. Finally, I animated the video.
The entire process took approximately a week and involved a few rounds of feedback. It's difficult to recall the exact timeline, as this project was completed over a decade ago, in 2014.
Outcomes
We shared this video with some of our internal teams. At the time, my larger team was exploring various partnerships with Google's marketing incubation team. Some of the teams were working on simplifying travel, and this video was created to showcase how we could further connect the user journey.
This was also when I learned that using internal location and travel plan data to create these delightful moments would be problematic in places like Europe, even with the best intentions.
